Out & About is an 8-week series of weekly 4-5 hour outings to interesting destinations around San Diego for people with early-to-moderate stage Alzheimer’s. This program repeats up to four times a year with different destinations each series. We request a donation to enroll in the program to cover the expenses of staffing, transportation, and outings fees. The San Diego/Imperial Country Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association partners with us in this program. Pre-registration is required.

Memories at the Museum is a program where San Diego Museum of Art docents guide visitors with memory loss through the museum's painting and sculpture exhibits. They facilitate discussions to engage their visual, verbal, and mental abilities and provide a stimulating interactive experience. A separate simultaneous tour is provided for an accompanying friend or family member. This program is co-sponsored by the San Diego Museum of Art, is free of charge, and is offered quarterly in January, April, July, and October.
The Early Stage Support Group is a weekly support group at the Shiley-Marcos ADRC for participants with early to moderate stage Alzheimer's that has a concurrent caregiver support group. This support group is free of charge and is co-sponsored by the San Diego/Imperial County Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Pre-registration is required.
The Younger Caregiver Support Group is a monthly support group for caregivers under the age of 60 facilitated by Shiley-Marcos ADRC social workers. Younger caregivers face unique circumstances as they juggle career, family, economic, and social challenges. This group is free of charge and co-sponsored by the G.G. Glenner Alzheimer's Family Center and the San Diego/imperial County Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
